Local Area Agreements
Local Area Agreements (LAA) require very significant levels of process-related work : strategic planning, consultation, negotiation and change management. Much of this work has to be done with large numbers of stakeholders and to a challenging timetable.
There is a range of ways in which we can help, for example:
- Acting as a neutral third party broker in sensitive negotiation processes
- Improving communications, from briefings through to enabling deeper dialogue
- Supporting joint development of innovative and creative approaches to delivery
- Providing additional management and project management capacity where it is most needed.
Examples of our work
Cornwall County Council |
We supported the dialogue process between the county’s local authorities and other public and voluntary sector bodies players, to develop an LAA Stretch proposal on open spaces. Facilitating a process culminating in a large stakeholder event to agree a way forward on developing the county’s Sustainable Community Strategy and elements of the revised LAA. |
Gloucestershire County Council |
Assisting with a review of the first year’s LAA process. |
